How to Play With Friends in Bug Evolution
A much bigger bug can turn a solo food run into a chase. If “Bug Evolution how to play with friends” brought you here, start by getting into the same server, then send and accept an in-game team invite. Once you’re together, coordinate your hunts and keep your smaller teammates close.
To get your group started:
- Open Bug Evolution on Roblox and get into the same server as your friends.
- Use the in-game team feature to invite a friend who is in that server.
- Have your friend accept the team invitation.
- Meet up before heading out to collect food or attack other bugs.
Servers hold 15 players, so keep that limit in mind when organizing a group. Send invitations after everyone has arrived; the team feature lets you invite players in your current server.
Finish the opening tutorial if you’re starting fresh. It introduces collecting food and evolving into a spider, giving everyone the basics before your group starts hunting. Its opening objective is to eat five orbs.
Use a Private Server to Grow Together
Free private servers give your group a place to level up without public-server players interrupting every food run. Choose one when a friend is learning the controls or growing a newly selected bug.

Public servers add the threat of other players hunting you. Teaming up gives you allies, but larger opponents can still attack your group. Avoid starting a fight simply because you outnumber a target.
Decide what you want from the session before spreading out:
- Learning the game: Collect glowing food orbs and finish tutorial objectives together.
- Working toward evolutions: Track your next bug and collect the levels and coins it requires.
- Hunting together: Regroup before attacking rather than arriving separately.
Keep the group’s immediate goal small enough that everyone can participate. A new spider needs room to grow before following a much stronger friend into dangerous territory.
Protect Friends Who Are Still Growing
Watch your teammate’s current form, not just the bug they have unlocked. Selecting a different creature can put them back into an early growth stage, so pause your hunting plans while they develop.

Stay near accessible food and manageable prey during that stretch. Ants, caterpillars, and glowing orbs offer ways to gain experience without immediately chasing other players.
Movement matters when a hunt goes wrong. Speed and stamina upgrades help with getting around and escaping pursuit; choose them when keeping up with friends is becoming a problem.
Flying creatures such as the housefly can travel through the air, but flight still requires attention to stamina. Don’t lead a ground-based friend into trouble and assume they can follow your escape route. Pick a meeting point before splitting up.
Hunt and Explore at the Group’s Pace
Eating food makes your creature bigger and stronger, while the Bug Tree opens paths into different insects and spiders. Your friends can pursue different forms while traveling together.
Before moving to a tougher area, compare your progress. Whispering Woods carries a Lv 15+ label; read the area banner and give newer teammates time to prepare.
Use the QUEST panel to give food runs a purpose. Quick objectives include biting ants, eating crickets, and surviving for a set duration. For example, Eat 17 Crickets awards +56 coins. Check your own active objective before deciding which prey to hunt.
If a boss fight starts in Whispering Woods, watch for the red banner, the boss timer, and the skull marker on the minimap. The boss there is EMPEROR SCORPION. Regroup before approaching so your smallest teammate doesn’t reach the fight alone.
