How to Grow Faster in Bug Evolution
Your next evolution gets farther away every time a larger bug interrupts your meal. This Bug Evolution growth guide focuses on keeping XP flowing: collect accessible food, finish eating defeated insects, and choose upgrades that help you feed and escape. Staying alive gives you more time to turn those meals into levels.
Start by following the tutorial and collecting five glowing orbs to reach your initial spider evolution. After that, alternate between nearby food and insects you can defeat without a long fight.
Use this feeding loop:
- Collect glowing orbs while moving between food targets.
- Attack manageable insects, including ants and caterpillars.
- Eat the bodies after defeating them.
- Choose an upgrade when a trait selection appears.
- Evolve when your current form is ready.
Do not walk away immediately after a kill. Feeding on the body gives you more XP, so leaving it behind cuts the value of the fight.
Bigger orbs provide more growth than smaller ones. Prioritize them when they are within easy reach, and skip a fight if gathering nearby food will keep you leveling with less exposure.

Follow a Food Route From Level 1 to 60
Glowing orbs, sugar cubes, and cave insects give you a straightforward route through the early levels. Use the following ranges as farming targets rather than requirements for entering each area.

| Level range | Where to go | What to eat |
|---|---|---|
| Below 20 | Follow stretches of glowing orbs | Collect orbs instead of stopping for every small insect |
| 20–40 | Sand area | Feed on the square sugar cubes |
| 40–60 | Large cave near the middle of the map | Defeat and eat the insects inside |
While collecting orbs, keep moving toward the next visible cluster. Chasing a small insect across the map interrupts that steady feeding rhythm.
At level 20, head toward the sand and look for sugar cubes. Continue feeding there toward level 40, then try the central cave's insects. If a target takes too long to defeat or attracts another player, return to accessible food.
Watch for the Night Hunt announcement. It grants double XP until sunrise, making nighttime a useful opportunity to focus on gathering food. Spend that window eating rather than pursuing a fast opponent.
For a quieter start, use a free private server to work through the route without public-server hunters. Your progress saves there, so you can build up before returning to a public lobby.
Choose Traits That Keep You Feeding
XP gain speeds up leveling, but bite speed and movement also matter. Faster feeding helps you finish targets, while mobility helps you reach food and get away from stronger bugs.

Choose upgrades around what is slowing your current run:
- XP gain: Take the 10% XP-gain option when it appears if you already have room to farm safely.
- Bite speed: Prioritize it when you spend too much time chewing through food targets.
- Movement speed: Pick movement upgrades, including Long Legs, when travel or escaping is your main problem.
- Stamina: Add stamina when sprinting and other movement abilities leave you exhausted.
- Damage or health: Consider these when you are fighting insects rather than mainly collecting orbs.
Keep movement in your build even when damage upgrades look tempting. A strong bite does little for your growth if you cannot reach the next meal or escape a pursuer.
Save some stamina while traveling through occupied areas. Flying and sprinting can help you retreat, but exhausting your movement options before another bug attacks leaves you vulnerable.
Plan Your Next Bug Tree Unlock
The Bug Tree gives you more than a larger version of your starter spider:
- There are 30+ insects and spiders to evolve into.
- The selection includes flies, moths, grasshoppers, tarantulas, and giant prehistoric beasts.
Track the bug you want before spending coins. The tracked objective helps you keep its requirements in view while you farm.
The housefly, for example, requires level 12 and 200 coins. A Black Widow unlock costs 450 coins. Check the level and branch requirements shown on your own Bug Tree before committing to the next purchase.
Unlocking a creature and growing that creature are separate steps. Switching to a housefly starts you in its young form, and other bug changes also begin with an egg or immature stage. Plan for another vulnerable stretch after switching.
If your current garden spider is already feeding comfortably, keep farming before changing forms. You can continue earning coins without immediately starting a new creature's growth cycle.
Choose a flying form if you want airborne movement, then learn its controls before relying on it during a chase. A young form still needs to develop, and flight depends on having enough stamina.
Earn Coins While Working Toward Evolutions
Claim daily rewards before spawning, and collect playtime rewards when they become available. Daily rewards give you coins.
Open the QUEST panel and look for goals that match what you are already doing. Biting ants, eating insects, surviving, and reaching level milestones can all contribute to coin rewards.
Examples of quest goals include:
| Quest goal | Coin reward |
|---|---|
| Bite 14 Ants | +42 coins |
| Eat 17 Crickets | +56 coins |
| Stay alive for 7 minutes | +57 coins |
| Eat 19 Beetles | +64 coins |
| Reach Level 30 | +150 coins |
Read the action carefully. A quest asking you to bite ants has a different objective from one asking you to eat crickets. Follow the progress counter to see whether your current activity is advancing it.
Check the quick and hourly quest options, then track a goal that fits your next farming trip. If you are already feeding on beetles, work toward that objective instead of crossing the map for an unrelated target.
Keep your coin target tied to a specific Bug Tree unlock. That makes it easier to decide whether to stay on your current creature and farm longer or begin growing a new one.
Survive Public Servers and Use Your Abilities
Public servers support 15 players, and other bugs can attack you while you grow. Look around between meals, especially before starting a fight that will keep you in one place.
Team up with friends and hunt together. Use the team interface to invite allies or join a group, then stay close enough to help each other rather than spreading across the map.
Read area banners as you travel. Whispering Woods carries a Lv 15+ label, while Sunny Meadow has no level tag. Use those labels to guide your route, and leave a crowded feeding area before a larger player closes the distance.
Bonus XP zones offer extra experience, but they also expose you to competing hunters. Skip them during a vulnerable early stage if stronger bugs are already controlling the area.
Learn the abilities on your current form:
- Use Pounce to close distance during a fight.
- Use the Black Widow's Venom Bite to poison a target.
- Use Hiss to slow an opponent.
- When nesting abilities become available, place a nest and hatch young that can help attack and consume food.
Avoid long chases against opponents that repeatedly escape your reach. Return to food instead of spending your stamina pursuing a single meal.
If you die, read the loss and revive information before selecting an option. The death screen can show lost levels and an available free revive; check what it offers for that death before starting over.
When a red BOSS FIGHT banner appears in Whispering Woods, the timer and minimap skull mark the EMPEROR SCORPION encounter. If your immediate goal is steady growth, keep farming away from the fight rather than abandoning your food route for the boss.
