How to Work Toward the Dragonfly

The Bug Evolution dragonfly is a later Bug Tree choice that appears alongside the tarantula option. Look ahead toward that part of the tree before spending coins on your next creature. Planning your unlocks gives you a target while you collect food, gain levels, and survive bigger predators.

Open the Bug Tree and inspect the connections leading toward your target. Early progression includes the housefly and grasshopper, with the Locust appearing farther along. Follow the connected unlocks rather than buying every creature you can afford.

For an early progression checkpoint, the housefly requires level 12 and 200 coins. Use that milestone to get familiar with balancing your creature’s growth against your coin supply.

Keep the scale of the game in mind:

  • There are 30+ insects to evolve into.
  • Servers support up to 15 players, so other growing creatures can interrupt your farming.

When you switch creatures, expect another growth cycle. Unlocking a new form and growing it into an effective hunter are separate parts of progression.

Level Up With Food Before Chasing Players

Start by collecting the tutorial’s five orbs and evolving into a spider. After that, keep eating rather than spending your early run chasing opponents.

Glowing orbs offer a straightforward way to gain XP without committing to a fight. Larger orbs give more XP, so prioritize them when you can reach them safely. When you kill a food bug, eat its body to collect the additional experience.

Use these leveling targets to organize your farming:

Leveling targetWhere to farmWhat to eat
Reach level 20Around the starting areaGlowing orbs
Reach level 40Sand areaSugar cubes
Reach level 60Large cave near the map’s centerBugs inside the cave

Use these as farming targets, rather than area unlock requirements. Watch nearby enemies before moving into a new feeding spot, especially while your creature is small.

Night Hunt gives double XP until sunrise. When that event appears, spend the window collecting food and growing. Avoid turning the bonus into a long chase that ends without a meal.

Earn Coins While Advancing Your Creature

Claim daily and playtime rewards whenever they become available. Daily rewards include a 50-coin payout to help you save toward your next Bug Tree purchase.

Bug Evolution — Earn Coins While Advancing Your Creature

Open the QUEST panel and track objectives that match what you are already doing. Biting ants, eating crickets, surviving, and reaching level milestones all have coin-reward goals. Complete compatible tasks together: collect food while building survival time, then finish nearby prey objectives.

For example, Reach Level 30 rewards 150 coins. Keep that milestone in mind while leveling toward another Bug Tree purchase.

Before spending, compare the next unlock’s requirements with your current balance. Save toward the connected creature you need instead of buying a side option simply because it is affordable.

Choose Upgrades That Keep Your Run Moving

Pick traits around the problem slowing you down:

  • XP gain: Choose it to accelerate growth.
  • Bite speed: Prioritize it when feeding and attacking take too long.
  • Movement speed: Invest when traveling between food or escaping becomes difficult.
  • Stamina: Take it when you need more room to sprint away from danger.

Keep an escape route open while farming. Larger players can kill you, and crowded XP bonus zones can attract threats before you have grown enough to handle them.

Use the map to watch for the server’s largest player and recommended area levels. Team up with friends to hunt together, and check your creature’s on-screen controls before entering combat. If you use the housefly during progression, practice its flight controls somewhere quiet before relying on them during a chase.
